D-TOX PROBLEM SKIN PEEL
Do you have oily, blemished or reactive skin with enlarged pores? The D-Tox Problem Skin Peel is a potent decongestant due to its microencapsulated Vitamin A combined with Salicylic Acid and Lactic Acid that help to purge impurities from the skin for a clearer, smoother complexion. Acne is caused when oil, hair and dead skin cells clog pores. Ingredients such as Salicylic Acid and AGP Complex help stimulate cell turnover to curb breakouts.
Note: your skin must be prepped with one of our Vitamin A serums prior to having a D-Tox Problem Skin Peel.
Who is it for?
Problem, oily and thickened skin types
Treating toxic skin, deep congestion and enlarged pores
Skin resurfacing (mild scarring) and cell regeneration
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE D-TOX PEEL?
Exfoliating and resurfacing
WHAT ARE THE RISKS OF THE d-tox PEEL?
You may experience some mild redness, which will subside within a few hours. You may also experience some breakouts or light peeling for two to five days post treatment, which is normal due to the increase in cellular turnover and detoxifying process. This can be easily covered with makeup.
This treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or while breastfeeding due to the ingredients used.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
After a single treatment your skin will be notably calmer and complexion clearer, however best results are seen from three treatments, four to six weeks apart.
We start with a double cleanse of the face before applying the D-Tox Problem Skin Peel. The peel stays on the skin for five to ten minutes to allow the active ingredients to be absorbed. The peel is then soaked off and serums and a rich moisturiser is applied. All Advanced Medi-Peels include customised clinical masks and a tailored LED treatment. This stimulates collagen production and kills the bacteria (Propionibacterium) that live below the surface of the skin, causing acne.
WILL IT HURT?
You may feel a tingling or tightening sensation in the skin, but no pain.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER MY TREATMENT?
The D-Tox Peel draws out impurities from deep within the skin, which is why you may experience breakouts in the first one to two days following the treatment. Best results are post five days and have a cumulative effect. Remember - better out than in!
IS THERE ANY PRE OR POST CARE?
Pre-treatment Your skin must be prepped with one of our Vitamin A serums prior to having a D-Tox Problem Skin Peel.
Post-treatment There is no downtime post peel, which means you can continue with normal activity, however, avoid strenuous activity (ie. HIIT training, rock climbing or mountain biking) and swimming for the next 24 hours.
We always recommend the use of sunscreen to prevent damage to the skin. Ensure SPF 30 or above is applied and remember to re-apply throughout the day (every 2 hours).
All Advanced Medi-Peels include customised clinical masks, D-Tox Peel and a tailored LED treatment.
Whilst we have seen amazing results from this treatment, please know that results vary and we cannot make guarantees. We recommend an in-depth consultation with one of our lovely practitioners prior to your treatment so you know how it works, whether it will be right for your skin type, and what results you can expect so that you reach your desired skin goals.
