Unlike traditional dermal filler which is injected below the skin to add volume and contour the face, skin boosters are injected superficially to create a smoothness to the skin, improving skin texture and hydration. Skin Booster injections are the perfect treatment for minimising the look of pores and addressing premature ageing concerns and overall skin quality. We provide Skin Boosters here at our Perth clinic. After applying numbing cream, the dermal filler is injected into the surface of the skin at multiple sites using a very thin needle. This helps stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, leading to thicker, firmer skin and improvements in sagging and crepey looking skin. The Skin Booster treatment is quick and relatively painless, however you may feel a little discomfort for a few seconds as the needles enter the skin.

How many treatments will I need?
We generally recommend 3 Skin Booster treatments for best results, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. While results can be seen as early as your first treatment, full effects and benefits will occur after the final treatment. The number of Skin Booster injection treatments required also depends on your individual aesthetic goals and suitability for the treatment. Maintenance sessions may be required every 4-6 months for long-lasting results.
How long will results last?
Skin Booster results generally last around 9-12 months depending on the individual. The longevity of your results will depend on a number of factors like age, lifestyle, budget and the location of the areas treated.
Is there any downtime?
There’s very minimal downtime for the Skin Booster procedure. Depending on the treatment area, you can expect common side effects like swelling and bruising, however these will subside anywhere between a few days to a week post-treatment.
