The Deep Sea Peel by Cosmedix is one of our go-to treatments in-clinic for a dramatically smoother and more evenly toned complexion. What makes it so unique is that it’s an acid-free peel, using manual exfoliation of marine-based ingredients to resurface the skin, kicking tone and texture concerns to the curb! The treatment begins with some chill time under the LED lights to calm the skin before we get down to the main event. We start with a double cleanse before applying the Deep Sea peel, which stays on your cute face for about 5-10 minutes, allowing those potent marine ingredients to absorb. You will feel a tingling or tightening sensation when the peel is applied but we can assure you, it’s nothing you can’t handle! Once the peel is removed a rich moisturiser is applied to help calm, smooth and rejuvenate your complexion. After that, you and your pretty face are good to go! All Advanced Medi-Peels include customised clinical masks and a tailored LED treatment which stimulates collagen production and kills the bacteria below the skin (you know, that nasty stuff that causes acne).

How many treatments will I need?
After just one treatment you’ll see some dramatic improvement, however you may need up to 3 treatments (spaced 4-6 weeks apart) depending on your individual skin concerns.
Is there any downtime?
You can expect about 3-7 days of flaky skin following your treatment and it’s totally normal to experience redness, heat, but once those old, damaged cells are gone, boy oh boy are you going to be in love with your smooth AF complexion! After your Deep Sea peel, it’s a good idea to avoid strenuous activities like HIIT training, rock climbing or mountain biking and swimming for 24 hours.

Applying (and reapplying) maximum sun protection daily (we’re talking 30+ or above) is essential after your Deep Sea Peel to avoid any rebound pigmentation. We want those fresh and smooth baby skin cells kept intact!
