If you’re sensitive to pain we can use a topical anaesthetic to numb the area prior to your treatment, but we promise we’re so gentle, you won’t need it!

Did you know wrinkle relaxer can be used to help slim the lower face? Patients with a very square face shape tend to have very active and strong jaw muscles, which can create a bulky look to the lower face. By injecting wrinkle relaxer into the masseter muscle we can help reduce the size of the muscle, resulting in a slimmer, more oval shaped face. If you suffer from bruxism (aka teeth grinding), wrinkle relaxers are also an excellent option as it can provide instant relief from pain, tenderness, headaches, TMJ issues, migraines and facial pain often associated with teeth grinding. Results from our wrinkle relaxers offered at our Perth clinic can last up to 6 months depending on the individual and dose administered, however regular treatments will be necessary to maintain your results.

Perspiring more than you’d like? Don’t sweat it, our friend wrinkle relaxer has got your back! Although the name suggests otherwise, wrinkle relaxer isn’t just for fighting wrinkles, it’s also an effective treatment for hyperhidrosis (aka excessive sweating). The wrinkle relaxer injections work by temporarily blocking signals from the nerves that stimulate sweating. Once we stop the signals, we stop the sweating! So, how quickly will you notice the effects? Most people notice a reduction in excessive sweating within 1-2 weeks, and while the longevity of results will differ depending on the patient, we generally recommend 3-4 treatments a year to maintain those sweat-free results.
Is it right for me?
A thorough consultation with one of our Registered Cosmetic Nurses is essential prior to your wrinkle relaxer treatment to ensure patient suitability. Wrinkle relaxers are not suitable for babes who are currently pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive. Certain medical conditions may also preclude you from this treatment.

How many treatments will I need?
Wrinkle relaxer works on dynamic (moving lines) so while these will fade away with a single treatment the static (resting lines/wrinkles) will take a series of treatments over time to achieve results. This can be discussed during your initial consultation with one of our experienced cosmetic practitioners. If you’re a first timer at SC, we always start with a conservative amount of wrinkle relaxer to ensure we get your dose correct. You can’t reverse this treatment (as the results have to wear off) so less is more initially, then we can administer any top-ups if necessary at your 2 week review.
How long will results last?
Wrinkle relaxer results generally last approximately 3-4 months. The longevity of your results will depend on a number of factors like age, individual metabolism, wrinkle relaxer dose, and location of the injections.
Is there any downtime?
Nope, no downtime at all. You can get back to your day straight after your appointment!
